The 2024 AREA Season 6 Awards celebrated the best drivers, teams, and moments from another thrilling season of AREA iRacing competition. This year’s winners showcased extraordinary talent, growth, and community spirit. Here are your Season 6 award winners:

Award Winners

Driver of the Year: Seth Noell

Seth Noell takes home the Driver of the Year award, edging out Jake Nichols and John Hall. His exceptional performance across the Truck Series Championship and consistent excellence solidified his place among AREA’s elite.

Team of the Year: Solar Flare Racing

Solar Flare Racing claimed Team of the Year, ending 609 Motorsports' dominant streak. The team’s incredible teamwork and championship-worthy performances outshone Miller Racing.

Sportsmanship Award: Alex Bell

Alex Bell earned the Sportsmanship Award, exemplifying the values of integrity and camaraderie. Bell’s recognition marks his first AREA iRacing award, highlighting his contributions to fostering a positive environment.

Most Improved Driver: Alex Bell

In a standout season, Alex Bell also captured Most Improved Driver, showing remarkable progress throughout the year and overcoming competition from Tyler Nichols, Garrett Grant, and Seth Noell.

Best New Driver: Peyton Howell

Peyton Howell’s incredible rookie season earned him Best New Driver honors over Jeff Wright, Phillip Groner, and Zack Nichols. Howell’s rise sets him up as a key player in upcoming seasons.

Crew Chief of the Year: Reggie Ortega

Reggie Ortega, crew chief for Jeff Wright, claimed his first Crew Chief of the Year award, surpassing past three-time winner Santiago Tirres and competitors Dawson Miller and Dwayne Dunn.

Race of the Year: Pro Series at Kansas

The Pro Series at Kansas was crowned Race of the Year, recognized for its high-stakes drama and thrilling competition. It triumphed over the Cup Series at Talladega and the Pro Series at Bristol.

Best Finish: Cup Series at Charlotte

The Cup Series at Charlotte secured Best Finish honors for its heart-pounding action, beating out the Pro Series at Kansas and Cup Series at Kansas.

Best Social Media: @GoCentralUnited

For the third consecutive season, Central United (@GoCentralUnited) wins Best Social Media, continuing to set the standard in promoting AREA’s presence online.

Broadcaster of the Year: Hunter Sleppy

Hunter Sleppy earns Broadcaster of the Year for the first time, dethroning three-time winner Kyle Heyer. Sleppy’s dynamic commentary and engaging broadcasts made him a fan favorite this season.

Wreck of the Year: Pro Series at Dover

The dramatic wreck at Dover in the Pro Series claimed Wreck of the Year, narrowly edging out chaos at Pocono and Atlanta.

Paint Scheme of the Year: Jake Nichols

Jake Nichols took home Paint Scheme of the Year with his visually stunning design, surpassing Alex Bell and Peyton Howell.
