AREA to host Kentucky Tornado Relief Fundraiser Race

Dec 11th, 2021-

AREA is proud to announce the latest event to add to their young history, this time for a much needed cause.

Many of us at AREA iRacing were saddened to learn about the events that happened on December 11th, 2021. We wanted to find a way to help, so we decided to do a fundraiser race on Friday, December 17th, 2021. The event will be streamed live on www.Twitch.tv/AREAiRacing and donations through our stream will be encouraged.

Any driver can enter the event by donating a minimum of five dollars to the fundraiser here. Fans are also encouraged to donate to the fundraiser using the same link. There are only 60 entries allocated to the event with 24 drivers earning their way to the feature via heat races and last chance qualifying races. The goal of this event is to create a fun and positive environment for all of our racers to put on a fantastic show for the viewers. There will be goals displayed on the stream for donations throughout the entire event and all viewers are encouraged to donate if possible. It will all be about having a great time while donating money to the victims and relief of the horrific events of December 11th.

“Bowling Green was just one of the many locations significantly impacted by the horrific weather events last night.” AREA iRacing owner Jacob Bell said. “I spent the past year there and consider Bowling Green my second home. I wanted to find a way for all of us in this fantastic racing community to help, and knew we needed to act fast.”

All donations will go directly to the American Red Cross Foundation who take part in disaster relief efforts and response to deadly tornadoes. You can learn more about the Red Cross here.
